The old office of Southwest Cotton Growers has served the gin well for a lot of years. The office was remodeled and added on to  in the mid 80's. It was decided to build a new office in 2001 but was put on the back burner each time we needed to update the gin. We have had no need for updates the last two years so the decision to build the new office was made by the board in January 2007. Bids and plans were decided and the work was stated on March 15, 2007.  Construction wrapped up on August 17, 2007.

In 2010 Terry Burris brought this cotton in from one of their farms. It is a rather odd shaped plant. He had seen others but could not stop the stripper in time. He was able to do so on these. Does anyone have an idea as to what caused this growth pattern?
